Sanford Radiography Program:

Mission, goals and outcomes

Sanford Radiography Program is a 23-month, competency-based program. Students receive extensive didactic and clinical instruction to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to become a successful radiographer.

To develop competent entry-level radiographers who are dedicated to health and healing.

Program goals and outcomes

  1. Students will be clinically competent
    • Students will apply positioning skills
    • Students will utilize proper radiation techniques

  2. Students will use critical thinking and problem solving skills.
    • Students will modify procedures for non-routine patients
    • Students will critique images for diagnostic quality

  3. Students will demonstrate professionalism.
    • Students will practice work ethics
    • Students will differentiate between ARRT and ASRT

  4. Students will communicate effectively.
    • Students will demonstrate oral communication skills
