Missouri Valley Family YMCA
LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA is a 12-week small-group fitness program for adult cancer survivors who have become de-conditioned or chronically fatigued from their treatment and/or disease.

This program includes:

  • FREE 12-week YMCA Family Membership
  • Two 75-minute classes per week
  • A combination of individual instruction and group activities
  • Workouts include:
    • Cardiovascular exercise
    • Strength training
    • Stretching
    • Balance work
    • Full access to the Missouri Valley Family YMCA

Look Good… Feel Better

A public service program serving cancer patients.

Look Good… Feel Better is a free, non-medical, brand-neutral national public service program created to help individuals with cancer look good, improve their self-esteem, and manage their treatment and recovery with greater confidence.

The program is sponsored by the American Cancer Society and the American Cosmetologists Association, and hosted by the Bismarck Cancer Center.

Lymphedema may affect anyone with a history of:

  • Removal of lymph nodes
  • Damage to lymph nodes
  • Surgery
  • Radiation therapy
  • Tumor blocking lymph flow
  • Infection
  • Trauma

Cancercare Online Support Group

Cancer Care online support groups are moderated by professional oncology social workers, and provide a safe place to interact and share ways of coping with others who understand your personal challenges.

Groups offered include individuals with specific diagnoses as well as for caregivers and people who have lost a loved one to cancer. Groups are available 24/7, without ever having to leave your home.
