Gilly Art TheraTree:
Turning work into play

 

The path to independence begins at the Sanford Rehabilitation Center. Sanford Children's Rehabilitation is a joint effort of physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech/language therapy teams who work in a unique and child-family friendly environment.
The Gilly Art TheraTree helps children by fully incorporating medical tools in a fun, engaging setting.

The beneficiary of this year's event is the Sanford Children's Rehabilitation. Inspired by his daughter, nationally-acclaimed artist Hans Gilsdorf created the Gilly Art TheraTree. This realistic, but magical tree will help nearly 600 North Dakota children with cerebral palsy or related disorders master simple, day-to-day maneuvers critical to their achievement of independence.
