|Sanford Orthopedics & Sports Medicine welcomes physician|
|(Bismarck, N.D.)—Jeremiah Penn, MD, a fellowship-trained primary care sports medicine physician, has joined the comprehensive care team at Sanford Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in the Sanford Seventh & Thayer Clinic – 225 N. Seventh St., Bismarck.
The area’s first and only fellowship-trained primary care sports medicine physician, Dr. Penn provides nonsurgical sports medicine care, including: acute injury care, injury evaluations, concussion management, treatment and evaluation of overuse injuries, evaluation of endurance athletes and coordination of injury rehabilitation. He works closely with Sanford Orthopedics & Sports Medicine’s integrated care team comprised of orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists and licensed athletic trainers.
Dr. Penn completed a fellowship in primary care sports medicine from Kaiser Foundation Hospital, Fontana, Calif., and he finished his family medicine residency at the University of North Dakota Center for Family Medicine, Bismarck. He earned his medical degree from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine, Vermillion, S.D. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
