| Sanford nurse completes breast health navigator training |
| (Bismarck, N.D.) – Keila Eisenbeis, a registered nurse and nurse navigator at Sanford Clinic in Bismarck successfully completed Breast Health Navigator training at the Emory Conference Center in Atlanta, Ga. The 40-hour class, led by Judy C. Kneece, president of EduCare and a certified oncology nurse with a specialty in breast cancer, prepares nurses to educate, support and successfully navigate breast cancer patients.
As a certified breast health navigator at Sanford Health, Eisenbeis will address both the art and the science of breast health care and redefine the patient’s experience. She will focus on patient teaching, along with social and emotional support, pursuit for better clinical quality and the arrival of new treatment modalities. “It was such a rewarding experience,” said Eisenbeis. “I received a wealth of useful information and I look forward to using this training to help make our navigation program at Sanford Bismarck an exceptional experience for our patients that face a diagnosis of cancer.” |
