Sanford Health Dickinson Clinic to open ahead of schedule

(Dickinson, N.D.)—Originally scheduled to open in the summer of 2014, the new Sanford Health Dickinson Clinic, which will replace the existing Sanford Health Dickinson Clinic, is ahead of schedule in the construction process and will now open in February 2014.

The new clinic, located at 2615 Fairway St., Dickinson, is more than three times the size of the current clinic at 938 Second Ave. W. and can house 20-plus physicians, providing better patient access than ever before. New services will include an ambulatory surgery center, infusion services for cancer treatment, a separate area for walk-in patients, space for a mobile MRI unit and the world’s most advanced CT scanner. Additional services and community needs for the clinic are being analyzed.

In the past 18 months, Sanford Health Dickinson Clinic added six new physicians and advanced practice providers in orthopedics and sports medicine, family medicine, general surgery and pediatrics. The clinic continues to have physicians in obstetrics and gynecology and internal medicine, as well. An athletic trainer is also now part of the team at Sanford Health Dickinson Clinic, as Sanford is the official orthopedics and sports medicine provider for Dickinson High School and orthopedics provider for Dickinson State University.

The list of visiting specialists who travel from Bismarck to Dickinson to provide specialized care close to home is also growing with services provided in orthopedic surgery, podiatry, cardiology, urology and oncology/hematology. Audiology and chiropractic services are provided at Sanford Health Occupational Medicine Clinic, 1531 W. Villard St., Dickinson.
