Sanford Health hosts hepatitis C testing event

(Dickinson, ND)—In the U.S., three out of four people infected with hepatitis C don’t know it. Treatment is available, but is most effective in the early stages of the illness when symptoms are rarely present. That’s why Sanford Health is hosting a hepatitis C testing event 9 a.m.–6 p.m. (MST) Tuesday, Oct. 8, in the Sanford Health Hearing Center in Dickinson, 1531 W. Villard St., Suite B.

You may be at risk for hepatitis C if you have:

  • Injected or inhaled drugs; even one time
  • Had a blood transfusion before 1992
  • Had contact with someone with hepatitis C

The cost of the screening is $10 and it must be paid in cash on the day of the screening. Registration is required. Call (701) 323-8030 to make an appointment for testing at this event.

Sanford Health is hosting this screening in conjunction with the North Dakota Department of Health. For more information on hepatitis C, visit and click on the link under the “What’s New” section.
