Occupational Medicine Clinic hires full-time medical director
(Bismarck, N.D.)—The Bismarck region of Sanford Health Occupational Medicine, including locations in Bismarck, Dickinson and Minot, continues to grow. In order to meet the growing needs, Joel Blanchard, MD will become full-time medical director of the Sanford Health Occupational Medicine Clinic beginning May 1.
Dr. Blanchard knows Occupational Medicine well as he has served as part-time medical director for Sanford Health’s clinic for the past six years. As medical director, he oversees the medical care, policies and procedures of the clinic. Available in all three clinic locations, Dr. Blanchard also will work directly with companies to help provide medical program direction to fit each company’s specific needs.
Dr. Blanchard is a board-certified family medicine doctor at Sanford Health. He completed his medical degree at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon and his internship at St. Pauls Hospital in Saskatoon. Dr. Blanchard is also a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He is certified as a medical review officer for drug testing and is a member of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.
