News releasesFeb. 21, 2013printer friendly Sanford NICU nurses earn certification(Bismarck, N.D.)—Four registered nurses who work in Sanford Birth Center’s neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) recently earned their certification in neonatal intensive care nursing through the National Certification Corp. (NCC). The nurses are: Erika Levey, Lori Sanford, Cassandra Sjostrom and Nicole Smith. Levey has worked at Sanford Health since 2006, while Sanford started with the health system in 1999. Sjostrom and Smith joined Sanford Health in 2010 and 2009, respectively. To earn certification, the four nurses demonstrated their expertise in the area of neonatal intensive care nursing through a rigorous certification process, which includes passing a written exam.
