Sanford Health weight-loss surgery information session scheduled

(Minot, N.D.)—Sanford Health is hosting a free weight-loss information session from 4−5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, at the Holiday Inn, 2200 Burdick Expressway E., Minot.

Sanford Health’s Michael Schmit, MD, is a board-certified and designated Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence® general surgeon. He will review the basic concepts of obesity, provide an overview of weight-loss surgery options and discuss patient requirements in order to be eligible for surgery.
