Medcenter One awarded scholarships for guided care nursing certification

BISMARCK, N.D.—Medcenter One was recently awarded $22,800 in scholarship funding from the Institute for Johns Hopkins Nursing (IJHN). The funding will enable 12 Medcenter One healthcare providers to complete the guided care nursing course through IJHN.

The guided care nursing course emphasizes best practices for chronic disease management, case management, caregiver education and support, transitional care and geriatric evaluation and management.

The following Medcenter One associates are enrolled in the course: Tess Schmidt, clinic manager of Medcenter One Mandan Family Clinic East, Medcenter One Mandan Family Clinic North and Medcenter One Bismarck Clinic Downtown; Erica Reiner, R.N., Kris Farrington, R.N., and Stacey Will, R.N., Medcenter One Bismarck Clinic Downtown; Donia Klein, R.N., Shauna Voigt, R.N., and Chantel Hillius-Kramlich, R.N., Medcenter One Mandan Family Clinic North; Kim Hamburger, R.N., Medcenter One Dickinson Clinic; Cindy Brandt, R.N., and Jeral Jan Trzpuc, R.N., Medcenter One Mandan Family Clinic East; and Andrea Lapp, R.N., and Nicole Kinnischtzke, R.N., Medcenter One Bismarck Family Clinic South.
