As a general surgeon, Dr. Nelson provides surgical treatments of a wide range of diseases and conditions that involve the breast, stomach, esophagus, pancreas, gallbladder, lower intestines and abdomen. Dr. Nelson earned her medical degree and completed her general surgery residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, where she also served as chief surgery resident. With the arrival of a general surgeon, Medcenter One Dickinson Clinic has expanded the services it provides to better meet the needs of patients. Dr. Nelson joins a team of family medicine doctors, pediatricians, an internal medicine doctor, an obstetrician/gynecologist and a nurse practitioner, along with specialists who routinely travel from Bismarck to provide care in Dickinson.
