Sanford Health Laboratory Test CatalogPanel testsOrdering laboratory testsLaboratory tests can be ordered either by electronic order entry or by submitting charge tickets. When ordering laboratory tests ensure all relevant information is provided for each patient and for each test.Electronic order entryAccess to electronic order entry is given to Sanford Health affiliates and reference contracts. Orders are placed in Practice Point and will be processed by the laboratory. Laboratory charges are generated through Practice Point either for institutional or patient billing.Charge ticketsCharge tickets are used for ordering laboratory tests by non-Sanford Health physicians or for nursing home patients. Charge tickets must be filled out completely with patient, billing, tests and diagnosis information.Transport of specimensPacking of specimens is the responsibility of the client. Sanford Health provides transportation of specimens to the main laboratory Monday through Saturday. Transportation may include couriers (PreSort and/or Cross Country), U.S. Postal Service, UPS or Federal Express. |
