About usSanford Laboratory is a College of American Pathologists (CAP) accredited, high complexity laboratory. The laboratory serves Sanford Bismarck, and operates and advises several Sanford Health satellite clinical outpatient laboratories. We also provide otureach laboratory services to non-Sanford Health facilities, such as:
The main Sanford Laboratory Bismarck is in operation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. There are pathologists on-site with anatomic and clinical pathology board certifications, and hematopathology subspecialty certification. Our staff has additional qualifications such as biochemistry, molecular biology and microbiology certifications. Laboratory staff includes a clinical chemist, clinical microbiologist, medical laboratory scientists, medical laboratory technicians, phlebotomists, histotechnologists, cytotechnologists, histocompatibility technologists, transcriptionists, receptionists and an inventory specialist.
