American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline® Quality Achievement
Award for heart attack care
Hospitals involved in Mission: Lifeline are part of a system that makes sure STEMI (the most severe form of heart attack) patients get the right care they need, as quickly as possible. Mission: Lifeline focuses on improving the system of care for these patients and at the same time improving care for all heart attack patients. Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck is the only healthcare institution in western North Dakota to receive this award, which speaks to its commitment and success in implementing high standards of care for heart attack patients.
American College of Cardiology Foundation’s NCDR® ACTION Registry®–GWTGTM Silver Performance Achievement Award
The award recognizes Sanford Health’s commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients. The Bismarck region of Sanford Health consistently followed the treatment guidelines in ACTION Registry®-GWTGTM for our consecutive quarters and met a performance standard of 90% for specific performance measures to receive this 2013 award.
