Athletic Training
Sanford Health has been providing athletic training services to the Bismarck-Mandan area and surrounding communities since 1981. Sanford Health athletic trainers are allied health professionals certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association board of certification who are first aid and CPR certified. Our goal is to deliver the best healthcare to the physically active and athletes of all ages.
Services
- On- and off-the-field injury prevention and management during practice and competition
- Recognition, evaluation and immediate care of athletic injuries
- Attend sporting events to ensure prompt evaluation and treatment of injuries, including on-call coverage
- School visits to provide injury-prevention education, evaluation, treatment and reconditioning services
- Taping, bandaging, wrapping and bracing of joints and limbs to prepare athletes for practice or competition
- Free injury screenings and advice on self-care of injuries
- Advice on self-care for injuries
